RFID Cards – Everything You Need to Know

Key Facts

  1. Each card must be assigned – either to a specific driver or to a shared account (e.g. [email protected]).
If you don’t want to register every driver, you can keep several cards under one shared account (e.g. reception lends cards to visitors).
  2. The driver or account must belong to a client/fleet contract.
Assignment is done by the manager or contract owner.
  3. Managers can link vehicles to cards.
They handle vehicle and card management.
  4. When the card is tapped, the system verifies the rights.
It checks if a valid driver/account exists, if charging is allowed, and whether there is credit or a free-charging rule.
  5. “Free only” mode means the card can’t start paid charging sessions.
  6. Card validity is optional – it can be limited or unlimited.
  7. Every card has a serial number (UID) which is read by the charger for verification.
  8. Cards ordered from the e-shop must be activated.
A manager must assign them after a client contract and at least one driver are created.

How It Works

  1. Tap your card on the charger.
  2. Wait for confirmation on the display.
  3. If everything is valid, charging starts.

The session record will show which card was used.
